Milan Italy Travel Guide
There are fashionistas and even some realtime fashion models strolling down Via Montenapoleone in the Quadrilatero della moda district, showing off creations from Versace, Prada, Armani, Valentino, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana. There are galleries in the Brera district where you can see the art of Raphael and Mantegna, and if you pop into the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in the city center, you can even see Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece, The Last Supper, frescoed on the wall. Pretty cool, no? And yeah, there's the city's signature dish, osso buco – you know, those thick veal shanks marinated in white wine and braised with vegetables and tomato paste – at the uppity restaurants in downtown, and panettone, another Milanese creation, at the cake shops. Really, you can't go wrong!
