Lisbon Portugal Travel Guide
You can sip port wine from the Douro region and unwind to some melancholic fado music at the bars, or settle back at one of the cafés in the Baixa for a cappuccino and those crumbly custard tarts they call pastéis de nata that are totally to die for. When you walk outside, you'll see mosaic-tiled pavement beneath your feet, a lot of it in black and white, and when you look around, you'll see walls tagged with some of the wildest graffiti on that side of the Atlantic. And you know, in the old barrios there are trams rattling up down the narrow, hilly streets, and if you catch the Number 28, you can ride it all the way up the hill to the 2,000-year-old São Jorge Castle, with killer views from there – of the old town and right across the ocean!
