Reykjavik Iceland Travel Guide
Soak in the steamy, outdoor thermal pool at the Blue Lagoon, then groove to the electric sounds of those iconic, homegrown bands live at Sodoma and other clubs and dives clustered along Laugavegur, the main drag in downtown. Or go to the top of the lava cascade-shaped Hallgrímskirkja church for full-blown, wide-angle views of the city's red, green and blue rooftops; and while you're moving about town, maybe pop over to the one-off Phallological Museum to see an eye-popping collection of penises, those of bulls, lizards, humans, insects, you name it. Yep! And if you go to the periphery of the city, you can even walk through the world's longest ice-tunnel, drilled directly into a glacier. And how cool is that? Oh, and those Icelandic toasted porters, the ones brewed with coffee, you won't soon forget them!
