There are magnificent Baroque buildings on Graben, a gilded statue of Johann Strauss in the city park, and Gustav Klimt's The Kiss and other gold-leaf art at the Belvedere gallery. You can traipse through Schönbrunn Palace to see how the Habsburgs lived, watch Lipizzaners prance in lockstep at the Spanish Riding School, and sip a Grüner Veltliner at a heuriger or a Wiener mélange at one of the cafés on Stephansplatz. Or, maybe, just stop by the Sacher Hotel for a slice of their divine torte, which is literally to die for!
