Tokyo Japan Travel Guide
If you're new to Japan, this one's a mind-blowing experience end to end – think cultural shock-and-awe! There's cosplay, anime and manga in spades, and a lot of neon, a lot of Pokemon, a lot of kink. There are maid cafés, unorthodox sushi joints, and an entire electric town, Akihabara, filled with video arcades and dripping with otaku culture – nothing like you've ever seen before! You can ride a bullet train, pop into the block-long Ramen Museum, see a three-story-high Godzilla, watch those sumo wrestlers do their thing, look out from a Shinjuku skyscraper at snow-capped Mount Fuji, drink sake standing up at an izakaya in the trendy Ebisu pocket of Shibuya-ku, let your hair down at a realtime karaoke joint, and dive right into the "Lost in Translation" scramble crossing at Shibuya. It's a veritable eye-popper and, in Gen Z parlance, straight-out "sick!"
