Maui Hawaii Travel Guide

[Last updated January 8, 2021]

Take a toke of some Maui Wowie – local weed – as you watch the sunrise from the top of volcanic Mount Haleakala, or plunge into the partially-submerged Molokini crater to see fish in all shapes and sizes and the full spectrum of rainbow colors, or watch those sunburnt windsurfers bobbing like a motley of brightly-colored butterflies on the ocean off Ho'okipa Beach, or head up to the old whaling town of Lahaina, now a tourist hub, where you'll find the Banyan Tree with its aerial roots spread over an entire acre – imagine that! The beaches are gorgeous and seemingly endless, the luaus and hula dancers are supremely memorable, and those pineapples, Maui Gold, are to die for – pure sugar!
