Alicante Spain Travel Guide
In the old town here, Barrio de la Santa Cruz, you can walk in narrow, atmospheric streets of the medieval kind, lined with colorful old buildings housing bars and nightclubs that fire up a pretty lively nightlife. And you can even catch an elevator to the hilltop Castillo de Santa Bárbara for fab views across the Mediterranean. In the harbor area, Puerto de Alicante, you’ll find seafood restaurants where you can nibble on some mojama, (strips of tuna loin) served in bocadillos, or bread, with tomato and oil. There are nightclubs and bars there too, where you can sip a mojito or two, and maybe just hang out and watch cruise ships in the harbor with their twinkling lights. And yeah, there’s glorious sunshine and blue skies, and broad sweeps of sandy beaches to work on that tan! So enjoy!
