Aalborg Denmark Travel Guide

You can drink like a Dane on Jomfru Ane Gade, the most famous bar street in all of Denmark. Just pull up to the bar and order a couple of local brews, or, if you really want to turn heads, go for the town’s locally-distilled, caraway-flavored aquavit, along with schnapps and a platter of herring, and say “skål” – “cheers” in Danish – with a wink and a smile! Later on, you can wander in the pedestrianized downtown filled with shops and restaurants, see the whacky sculptures in the Lange Sculpture Garden, admire the 12th-century Budolfi Cathedral, and marvel at the stash of silver at the Museum of History. So, one more time: “Skål!”
