You can catch a cable car from the shores of Santorini to the clifftop town of Firá, some 1,300 feet straight up. In town, you can splash at one of the small restaurants on Plateia Theotokopoulou, the central square, to munch a Greek salad or tuck into some kickass souvlaki. Or, heck, just wander in those steep, narrow lanes and pathways between terraced whitewashed homes and blue-domed churches, and maybe even poke around in those colorful souvenir shops. And yes, there’s a vantage point practically around every corner, with fab views over the Aegean Sea. Priceless!
