Çeşme Turkey Travel Guide

[Last updated January 3, 2021]

You’re in a made-to-order, Aegean Coast resort here, looking right across at the island of Chios in Greece. There’s a broad, white-sand beach to splash on, curving along the harbor on the east shore of a peninsular strip, raked to perfection, with neat little rows of loungers and shade umbrellas, and dive and snorkeling spots just offshore. In town, you can stroll down to the local museum to see marble busts and heaps of archaeological finds, and maybe even traipse across to the adjacent village of Ildır to see the realtime digs of Erythrai. And if you slip out of town a bit, to the nearby town of Dalyan, you’ll find yourself in Turkish seafood heaven, crunching grilled calamari and that spiny lobster, langust. Hard to go wrong, really!
