Stand on a clifftop terrace some ten stories high and watch monster waves crash right beneath your feet, maybe even catch some of that spray up there. Or, go to Praia do Norte beach and watch those crazy surfers ride those equally insane swells – no fear! Or, heck, just take the funicular tramway from the town center to one of the vista points in the Sitio pocket at the top for an eat-your-heart-out view over the Atlantic.
