You'll be totally floored by the honey-colored stone buildings. You can walk between them on cobblestones, and poke around in quaint shops where they sell porcelain teapots and coin collections, and pubs where you can pull up a stool to a polished bar counter, order fish and chips and a pint of their draft beer and dive into a purely English chatter. There’s a lovely abbey and Roman-era statues overlooking the Roman-era baths that everyone comes to see, and a covered stone bridge over the River Avon, with shops on both sides of it. And yes, there are cozy little teashops where you can sip real English tea, say Earl Grey, and take a moment to reflect on this totally, totally mesmerizing all-English town!
