Stand on the steps of the Propylaea of the Acropolis and you’ll see Athens, or stand by your hotel room window in the city center and you'll see the Acropolis. There are ruins from Ancient Greece right in the heart of town, inner-city walls tagged with brilliant, graffiti-esque street art, souvlaki shops serving pita wraps and that to-die-for dip called tzatziki, ouzeries where you can get wicked drunk, and basement tavernas where you can literally let your hair down and dance like Zorba the Greek! Seriously cool stuff!
