Meander in an ancient castle-city adorned with gargoyles. There are medieval squares brimming with markets, cobbled lanes filled with shops selling souvenirs, tapestries and Cathar figurines, and small restaurants where you can stop by for a bowl of cassoulet, the regional dish here, made from white beans and meat. Later on, you can walk along the ramparts and take in the gorgeous views of the châteaux-rich countryside. And who knows, in one of those châteaux you might even find the Holy Grail!
