Chicago Illinois Travel Guide

[Last updated January 12, 2021]

It’s a great little city where you can hit the comedy clubs as well as music venues to unwind to a few sets of Chicago-style jazz and kickass blues, including the haunts of blues legend Buddy Guy. There are pizza parlors where deep-dish pizza is always on the menu, and fast-food joints grilling Polish sausages, both Chicagoan creations. In downtown you can hear and see ‘L’ trains rattling on elevated tracks above you, and throughout the city you’ll see public art, a ton of it. In the city center, too, you’ll find a cluster of some of America’s tallest buildings, which you can marvel at, looking up from below or looking down from the top. And if you go to Millennium Park, also in the city center, you can see yourself and everyone around you, with the skyline behind you, distorted and warped in the curved, super-shiny steel of "The Bean" – total chaos!
