You’ll see and hear fountains all around – ornate, Baroque fountains. You can wander amid fabulous Baroque mansions and public buildings, mostly from the 17th and 18th centuries, and shop in stylish shops and fashion boutiques, the likes of Agnes B and Hermes. There are some great little galleries where you’ll see works of Cezanne, Picasso, Granet and ingres, and along Cours Mirabeau, the main drag here, you can take your pick of cafés or small restaurants and settle back with the plat du jour or pick through a loaded South-of-France menu with foie gras to the traditional cassoulet and even tuck into the tallest club sandwich you’ve ever had!
