Park City Utah Travel Guide
Mostly, you’d want to come here in the wintertime – for the skiing. For they’ll pamper you silly, both on and off the slopes. Truly. It’s an uppity sort of resort, where the chairlifts seem to ride high up in the clouds – higher than at most other resorts in the Rockies – and the ski runs and ride parks are pure powder. There's a lively apres-ski scene, with dining spots and watering holes right on the mountain – think High West Distillery and Saloon, right off the ski slope, where you’ll be treated to a full flight of Utah-made whiskey! – and a festive old town with its Main Street lit up with humming bars and restaurants and a speakeasy where you can unwind to a few sets of live music. And you know, if you come in, say, late January, you can even catch a new release or two at the city’s long-running indie film bash, the Sundance Film Festival. What fun, right?
