The Berkshires Massachusetts

[Last updated March 27, 2021]

You’ll see rolling hills and country roads all around, and lots of museums and colorful little towns and villages where you can get a lick of a soulful slice of Massachusetts. In Stockbridge you can pop into the Norman Rockwell Museum to see the iconic 20th-century American artist’s studio and early works; in Great Barrington you’ll discover a shop-filled town of the East Coast kind; in Becket you can settle in to watch some boundary-pushing dance recitals; in Lenox you can treat yourself to an authentic, realtime Shakespeare performance; and in adjacent Tanglewood, in the summer, you might even catch a concert performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. And yeah, if you stop by Lee, which is between Lenox and Stockbridge, you can kick back at one of the crêperies on Main Street, say the Starving Artist Café, and wolf down a stack of crêpes dripping with maple syrup! Sweet stuff!
