Salisbury England Travel Guide

We’re talking pure English charm here. Truly. Just march down any of those medieval streets, say High Street, and you’ll see timber-frame Tudor buildings housing shops that smell of potpourri, candles, and even English toffee, interspersed with old English pubs, and, in the offshoot side streets, arcades with coffeeshops with outdoor tables, old-fashioned English fudge pantries, art galleries with Turner-style landscapes, and even a market or two with canopied stalls. There’s a lovely medieval cathedral with the tallest spire in the land, and if you go just to the south of the city a bit, you’ll find yourself on Salisbury Plain, marveling at those ancient, mysterious, massive upright stones at Stonehenge!
